Leipzig Biela Garden in a new guise
On June 3, 2020, the Bielagarten in the Böhlitz-Ehrenberg district was ceremoniously handed over to the City of Leipzig by the incumbent environmental mayor and the head of the Office for Housing and Urban Renewal.
Since then, the picturesque small park has been used intensively by families, children and young people in the peripheral residential areas.

Botanical Garden of the University of Leipzig
The “Botanical Garden” project includes the new construction of the water and wetland biotopes as part of the decentralized drainage concept for the use and infiltration of the rainwater that falls on the roofs of the administrative, glass and nursery houses.
In addition to aesthetic bridges and footbridges across the pond, a circular path opens up the various vegetation patterns in the swamp and shallow water zones.
A spring with a watercourse connects the water biotope with the adjacent Alpinum.
Primary school Diesterweg Delitzsch
The renovation work in the outdoor facilities of the primary school is in full swing.
In addition to an underground retention area with 100 m3 of rainwater and a throttle drain, the entire wastewater system was renovated.
A varied range of exercise on the new playground with roller track, climbing spider, combination play equipment and small games offers the children a lot of fun.
